Snow Day

You know in Elementary School when you had a snow day (well I would have "It may snow day" or rainy days, but whatever) and they made you stay inside and watch a dumb show like Milo and Otis and you were bored out of your mind??? Well I feel like I'm in third grade again! am getting cabin fever bad. It hasn't been that bad lately, which is the funny thing. It was even warm a week ago. However, the snow came...Wyatt enjoyed playing in it....for about 5 seconds.

When it is snowy and cold outside we usually try to just find something to do inside to amuse ourselves.

Wyatt and I have been working on writing letters, letter identification, and letter sounds.

I set him up at the table like this, or he can come into Ryan's room and practice.

He is really good at identifying the letters and only misses a few. He is trying really hard to do the letter sounds, but honestly just says any sound he can think of when I ask him. "What sound does K make?"---"Ummmm, SSSSSSSS!". Never mind. He is doing great tracing letters on paper, dry erase boards and the Ipad.

The little boys in our house

Ryan:
Is five months (AHHHHHH). He is still eating about every three hours and sleeps from 10PM-7AM. He can roll over from front to back (long time ago) and back to front (a couple weeks ago). He is very ticklish. Every time I change his outfit and i reach under his armpit area, he giggles. So cute! He laughs at anything Wyatt says to him and follows him with his eyes everywhere. He is a pretty happy little camper, and is fine sitting in his bumpbo watching all of us. He sucks his thumb/fingers constantly lately. He will actually spit out his binky to put his thumb in his mouth. He is such an easy going and happy boy!

Wyatt:
Is very articulate for his age. The other day I heard him use the word "either" correctly in a sentence. Blew my mind. He has been cracking us up with his logic though. If there is anything that looks like a coloring mark in the house he blames it on someone. I saw a mark on the wall that to me was obviously from luggage or a shoe scuff. Wyatt discovered it and said "Mom, Cali drew on the wall"....he blamed her for drawing blue marks on Ryan's head also which were just Ryan's veins. He is very observant. If you have a pimple (or nipple as he calls them, which makes for interesting conversations in public) he is the first one to point it out. Thank heavens he was there to announce to Brandon that he had fur on is chest! He is doing good recognizing and correctly identifying letters and numbers. He has been practicing writing some of them, but we have a long way to go. He is wrestling with Brandon more and is the stereotypical little boy. His favorite thing to do in the mornings lately is jump in bed with us. We will ask him what he wants to talk about and 90% of the time he says "Jesus". " The other 10% it's about how many "nipples" we all have.

Baby photos

Brandon, Ryan, Bill, Fred
Wyatt, Ashley, the boys
I don't have any photos of my Mom and Heather to add to the mix, but I just thought I'd post some baby photos of everyone. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out who is who. Who do you think our boys look like? P.S. you can make the whole photo bigger by clicking on it. If anyone has some baby photos (mom and heather) send them to me so I can add them. I think it would be fun to have Great grandparents photos also!
