Do you ever find it hard to stay home with your toddler? Do you ever get cabin fever? Are you ever thinking that time is standing still, because you still have two hours until bedtime? Well I feel like that too! I decided it would be an awesome idea to tell everyone what the little monster and I do to keep ourselves sane during the days.
Of course our activities are dependent on the lovely weather up here...and things got better as he got older, but here are some current favorite activities we do regularly. P.S. All of these are Wyatt's favorite things to do, not necessarily mine!
-Go to Costco to get the free samples (sometime they have a fire truck outside to look at)
- McDonald's play place. I like the one on Main, because they have a toddler area so I don't
have to climb through the tubes with him!. (disinfect after!)
-Drive to look at the buffalo or the horses (just in a random yard in Lehi)
-Go to the man made river in front of the Highland city center.( So fun!)
- Walks, walks and more walks...usually to a park locally.
-play with the watering can and water guns in the front or backyard. (bonus if the neighbor
boys are out! He loves playing with bigger kids!)
-Go to the living planet aquarium (we have a season pass)
- Go to a mall and play in their play place, or just walk around
-Go to Cabela's and look at the fish, also walk along the aqua duct on the way back.
- Library visit (which he is usually loud for)
We do a lot of indoor stuff like sing songs, read, and watch ABC videos on you tube, but I prefer to get out once in a while. Anyone else do anything fun?

Wyatt's First Fish

Randoms
We went to Kade's birthday the other day at the bowling alley. Wyatt liked it a lot! he could hardly wait until it was his turn. He keeps saying "Wyee's turn, Wyee's turn".
The little man "helped" me make cookies the other day. Well, he helped clean off the spoon.
We also went to the Living plant aquarium and ended up buying a season pass. We have been twice since we went the first time. Its pretty close to home, and he really likes splashing in the string ray touching pool.

Choices....so many choices....
Wow! There are so many choices out there for double strollers! Luckily I found the perfect solution!

Just kidding! But I do have a lot of questions about strollers for two. Brandon and I walk around the mall and go for walks frequently so we will definitely be needing a double stroller system of some type. Here are the kinds I know of (not necessarily brands, just styles) and what I think about them. Any info from people out there about your opinion would be VERY appreciated!
The sit n stand stroller

This happens to be the type that I am leaning towards. I think that Wyatt will like to be able to get out easier, and he is so tall, a lot of the straps on most strollers dig into his little shoulders, even on the highest setting with the most slack. The sit or stand portion of the stroller has a seat belt and strap so the kid can't just break loose which I like. The front seat for the new baby has a cup holder that lets you just click the infant car seat into the stroller, instead of taking the baby out, which was an essential featured I loved with Wyatt. During the winter I could just take him out of the car, and click him into the stroller, without getting him woken up or cold! I like that the seats are one in front of each other, because the mall has small isles in some store.
The double jogger,

The double jogger is the other style I like, but I don't jog.....although I know you don't have to :) I like that it seems like it can go a little more off road then normal strollers, and I can jog if I EVER decide to (ha!). The thing that worry me are: the isles of stores aren't that wide, and it will probably be a tight fit, with kids grabbing at things.
How owns one of these styles? Who knows of another one that is better? You better help me out or you just might see my kids in that cat carrier!!!

Oh Baby!
Are you ready for round two?

I have seen the photos of infants sucking their thumbs in ultrasounds, but Wyatt never did. I think this is so cute.
And here is the proof......
Well it was made official this morning, we are having another Boy! I am very excited for Wyatt to have a buddy for life. I'm also glad they will be so close together. Hopefully I don't lose my mind!
This last photo made all of us in the ultrasound room laugh. He showed us exactly what we were looking for. He is totally spread eagle if you can't tell what your looking at! Brandon is good at making boys!

I really am grateful for Brandon and everything he does to support me and love me. I am so excited to be adding this little guy to our family! I can't thank my Heavenly father enough for blessing me so abundantly!

Aloha (hello and goodbye Hawaii!)
I don't know if this is bad to say, but this was the best vacation since we got married. I'm convinced it had to do with the absence of a certain little person......

(thank you grandparents for watching him!)
Brandon and I went to Oahu, and saw all the touristy things there. Our days were packed with fun-ness so I was not concentrating on taking pictures. We had to rely on the goodness of strangers to take our photos, which is why I don't have very many of us together, let alone any good ones that said strangers were able to capture. During our stay we got to see the Temple. It has been closed for renovation so we weren't able to go inside, but the outside was stunning enough!

While we were on the north shore side, we went to the Polynesian cultural center and it was great! I loved this place!

the entertainers were awesome, because they are actually from the countries that they represent and share their cultures with everyone who visits.

The luau was really fun and Brandon got these drinks that come in pineapple shells (mmmmm pina colada!)

Stranger photo # 15, descent stranger photo #1.

We also got tickets to their show called "Ha, Breath of life". I love love loved it!

How could we go to Hawaii and not see Pearl harbor? Brandon and I really liked getting the audio tour of Alcatraz on our honeymoon, and decided to do the same for Pearl harbor, the air museum and a submarine tour. I'm so glad we did, I like to hear the stories!

We did so many little things like try shave ice (not shaved ice) and visit small shops and other things, I just don't have photos. A couple days later we went to the Dole pineapple plantation and rode around in a small train. Did you know that it takes almost two flipping years to grow your pineapple after you plant it? And 15 months after that to get the second one!

I think I ate about my body weight in pineapple!

See, I really told you that I didn't have many photos. We went snorkeling which I think was Brandon's favorite part. Our next vacation I hope we can go somewhere where snorkeling is an option again. (Salt Lake is not the ideal snorkeling lake! Ha Ha) I really liked talking and spending time with Brandon and we will be leaving the munchkins for many a vacation in the future!
