well baby check

Wyatt went to see the pediatrician today. He is now-
20 inches long
7 lbs 11oz
yes he has gained 9oz. The Dr. said usually if babies are back up to their birth weight by the two week mark they are doing good. So we know he is getting enough to eat!

and then there was two

Wyatt is 2 weeks old and his cord fell off so he has a normal belly button now! It's amazing how much he has changed in just two weeks. We are starting to fall into a routine, which is great because Brandon is heading back to work today. Now it's just the two of us! I really can't say enough how much of a support and help Brandon is to me. He has been taking Wyatt every morning and letting me sleep in! He is always there to help me out and when he can't help...calm me down. I'm so glad we had these two weeks together with Wyatt!

Our 1st Night Alone

Well grandma stewart left yesterday. We had a great stay. All and all it was a great frist week. Now I guess the real challange starts, We are all Alone with the baby!!!!

Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Bowman spent a week with Wyatt. Something about this kid, He likes PopPop and Big PopPop a whole lot better than Dad. But I guess thats to be expected. Dad already grounded wyatt for not finishing his dinner.

Here are the 1st photos of Wyatt taking a bath. Not his favorite thing in the world, but once you get the top of his head wet he likes it.

Wyatt's Jaundice is in the safe zone..... he did really well. The little beenie kinda made him mad, but he did great. Its hard spending 24 hours in a tiny suitcase with your eyes covered! We are doing well and are trying to establish a routine! I have a new found respect for mothers! It takes twice as long to go anywhere and you have to plan it around feedings and such and such. Brandon and I did take advantage of my mom being here and went and saw the dark knight on Friday! It was great. I think i will be much more nervous when we have to get a normal teenage babysitter sooner or later. It was sad to see all the grandparents leave, its like watching your paddles float down stream when you still have a long way to go.... but we will figure it out! I was so lucky to have such a great experience having Wyatt. He is so awesome. I don't think I have said as many prayers in my life then since he has been home. I just want him to be happy and safe.


Here he is on Friday, one week old! I love how he curls his little hands under his face like that. I think I would like to lock myself in the house everyday, turn off the phones, and just stare at him with Brandon. (can you tell why I might not have called you back if you have left me a message...sorry...) more photos to come because that's all I want to do all day.....thanks for all the wonderful messages and love....

P.S.the title of the last post was for our three year anniversary, i just forgot to say that. I love my husband and look forward to many more!

Three years later...

Hey guys were still here! i just wanted to fill you all in. Wyatt is such a good little boy! I love watching him and learning all about him. I can't believe he is here. He has Jaundice so we are helping him with that right now, but overall we are doing good! Nickell took some great photos with him yesterday and if you look at her photography blog she has some samples of them if everyone wants to see. (just find her blog off in the left hand column) Thanks for all the love!

So all day luke followed ashley around. When she laid down he layed on her belly. I think he is ready for Super Wy to get here as well...

July 4th

My mother Flew up for my her parent's 50Th anniversary celebration! It was so much fun seeing her, and soon she will be coming back for when Wyatt finally decides to show up! These two ladies are such good mothers and examples! I'm not sure I can be as good as them , but I will try!


Well on fourth of July we had 10 Days to go ( I know the baby countdown is wrong, but it is probably more right because he will probably be late.) At the wedding anniversary all the old people were asking "How long, honey, until you have this thing?" (verbatim) and I would say " ten days, but who is counting!?!?" They would laugh like it's the funniest thing. Guess you get easily amused when your seventy something.....

And here is a belly shot, he is still in there, despite my attempts to make him uncomfortable. (no Castor oil or anything like that, just occasional poking and vain threatenings of him being grounded forever. Last night Brandon and I made a video for him. We filmed his room and talked about when we found out he was on his way. I got all crazy at the end almost crying and letting him know he can come out now... Brandon turned it off just in time for that!

LOVELY!

I am training this new girl at work, so obviously she hasn't known me or seen me previous to being pregnant. She is from Brazil and fits the Brazillion type perfectly. Nice butt,skinny, dark perfect skin... the works! She looks down at my feet this afternoon and says in broken English " WOW, look at your feet, they look swollen!" " No ,no! "I go to reply, "I just have fat feet! they have ALWAYS been squatty and wide..." but I look down and sure enough my feet are pretty swollen. I know this is pretty normal with pregnancy , but I have tried really hard to drink lots of water during the day, I guess i just have to be better at staying off my feet! I was wearing sandals most of the day so I hadn't noticed them get so big.
